Apple Raises Trade-In Values for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch Models

Apple Raises Trade-In Values for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch Models

Apple has updated its U.S. trade-in estimates for several devices, and the latest changes bring better offers for many iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch models. The company raised trade-in values for the entire iPhone 16 lineup, while some Android phone estimates dropped slightly.

These updated prices matter for users planning to upgrade before Apple’s next hardware cycle because even small increases can lower the final cost of a new device.

MacRumors spotted the updated trade-in estimates after Apple refreshed the values on its website.

iPhone 16 models now offer higher trade-in values

Apple increased trade-in estimates for all current iPhone 16 models, with the iPhone 16 Pro Max now reaching a maximum value of $695 instead of $685. The standard iPhone 16 received one of the biggest jumps in this update.

Here are the latest iPhone trade-in values:

  • iPhone 16 Pro Max: $695, up from $685
  • iPhone 16 Pro: $560, up from $550
  • iPhone 16 Plus: $465, up from $455
  • iPhone 16: $460, up from $435

These higher estimates give recent iPhone owners slightly better upgrade value, especially users moving to another premium Apple device.

iPad trade-in prices also increased

Apple also raised trade-in estimates across its current iPad lineup, and the biggest increase came to the iPad Pro.

Updated iPad values include:

  • iPad Pro: $690, up from $670
  • iPad Air: $460, up from $445
  • iPad: $235, up from $220
  • iPad mini: $265, up from $250

The increase suggests Apple still sees strong resale demand for newer iPad models, especially premium tablets with Apple silicon.

Mac and Apple Watch changes are mixed

Mac trade-in values changed in different directions depending on the model. While MacBook Air, Mac mini, and Mac Studio gained value, the Mac Pro estimate dropped slightly.

Current Mac trade-in estimates include:

  • MacBook Pro: up to $690
  • MacBook Air: $520, up from $485
  • Mac mini: $375, up from $340
  • Mac Studio: $1,045, up from $975
  • Mac Pro: $2,045, down from $2,090

Apple Watch values also saw mixed adjustments:

  • Apple Watch Ultra 2: $305, up from $295
  • Apple Watch Series 9: $130, up from $120
  • Apple Watch Series 10: unchanged at $150
  • Apple Watch Ultra: $205, down from $215

Android trade-in values drop slightly

Apple reduced several Android trade-in offers in this update. The maximum Android estimate now tops out at $360 instead of $370.

Some notable Android changes include:

  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: $200, down from $230
  • Google Pixel 8 Pro: $165, down from $170
  • Samsung Galaxy S23: unchanged at $125
  • OnePlus 12: unchanged at $200

Apple says all trade-in prices remain estimates until the company receives and inspects the device. Customers can apply the credit toward a new purchase or receive an Apple Gift Card instead.
